The Eagle Pass Police Department responded to the 500 Block of Nueces St.at approximately 1:45 PM due to reports of a possible suicide.
According to reports from the EPPD, a 44 year-old man was found hanging in the back storage room of his residence.
Police officials and investigators attempted to ascertain whether the body presented any signs of bruising or foul play before the body could be taken down and sent to a local mortuary.
Officers were awaiting the arrival of a Justice of the Peace to pronounce the body deceased at press time.
The case remains under investigation by Detectives of the Eagle Pass Police Department.
